Accurate tachometer By: Aneurin Jones, on April 21, 2015 Pros: Cons: "I use it on my 1978 BMW R100 to help set the timing and idle speed. The tachometers fitted on cars or bikes are not always very accurate, but this works directly by counting the speed at which the plugs fire, so is accurate. |

A bit hit and miss...But excellent customer service! By: Kill all pigeons, on June 28, 2010 Pros: Cons: "I bought this at short notice as I knocked the distributor by accident and had to reset the timing on my 25 year old camper van, which doesn't have its own tacho. The bit of kit itself was okay to use, the switch that flips between two/four stroke engines was really small and fiddly and the instructions were pretty sparse. Basically you clamp it onto a HT lead making sure you follow the direction of electrical flow and it is supposed to pick up the electrical pulse by induction. Or... |
