Not sharp as advertised, but then I never expected it to be By: Book Ordererer, on February 20, 2018 Pros: Cons: "Chisels are rarely (never?) sharp out of the box and this is no exception. For Irwin to make the claim that it is ready to use is stretching it a bit. There is no secondary bevel. It's fine, though - straight and flat unlike the last 6mm chisel I bought on Amazon which was twisted beyond repair (I think it was Silverline from memory - and that is exactly what I expect from that hideous outfit). Just don't buy any chisel unless you have the capacity to sharpen it. |

Poor chinese import By: Warlord, on October 29, 2012 Pros: Cons: "If you check other websites, or similar listings, you will see that they state that these chisels are made in the uk. Unfortunately this is not the case, they are almost certainly made in china. The quality of the machining on the metal is quite poor, as is the quality of the handle. Its presented goodly in a velcro pouch, but i refuse to spend money on such poor quality imports, when you could spend less on a cheap stanley set instead, for better quality. Avoid. |
