I change them for PCL couplings, which screw on to the same normal thread. When usesing the kit I was suprised by the the speed and the level of vacum produced. It is nessesary to have a clean bucket to put the new charge of coolant in, and it was clear to draw up the new coolant to the tap and close the tap before acheveing full vacuum, to prevent drawing in some air from the pipe.
